About

Ellegram: Like a modern telegram, dispatches from Ellen. My interests are broad, but I am passionate about communicating via the written word, cooking, entertaining, crafting, DIY (do it yourself), reading, music, applied technology,  gardening, interior design, nutrition, physical fitness and health, the color pink, monograms, especially pink monograms and practical solutions to everyday life. My reasons to blog are three-fold: to preserve these ideas for my children and future grandchildren, to exercise my brain using all this marvelous technology, and to inform and inspire others via my experiences and observations. The idea that I might create a following is pure frosting!

You and Alison F on Avad Fan are inspiring. I did a blog years ago about random topics of interest but I think I was too far ahead of the tide and there weren’t too many followers! (“blog? what’s that?!”) I also tried to follow Cathy McG original blog at school but again, she abandoned due to lack of followers. Maybe this year will be different.

I do love the idea of the written word being shared with others. First of all because it makes you really think about what you want to say and how you are saying it and I’m all over “accountability”. I also love the timeless nature of written thoughts. Your goal of creating a journal for your children and grandchildren is a great one. So you’ve gotten my wheels turning….now to decide on which software to use!

Are you still in business? Would love to order the Thank you notes for kids (or buy them locally?). Great gifts for grandchildren!

Hope all is well with you and ALL your family and that you are less of a road warrior these days.

    SK
